About Joanna G. Lackey
Hi, I’m Joanna, a freelance writer who specializes in topics about health and nutrition. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband and three children. I’m a mom to two dogs and a cat. I love reading, writing, and taking photos.
I started this blog https://bestwaterfiltersforthehome.com/ couple of years ago but couldn’t write. It was always fun to look through the articles and read what others had written. I really enjoyed it, but I was too busy doing other things to put much effort into it.
After some months, I felt like I didn’t have enough content on my site. There were only a few blogs that I was reading and looking at. So, I decided to start could write something.
I am finally starting to put some time and effort into my new blog. It’s nice to see all the articles that I wrote here. You can view the old ones as well. It’s been almost 3 years since I posted my first article here.
Some Good Memories Of My Life
Here are some good memories:
Visiting The Saint Martin Island
Recently I visited Saint Martin Island with my husband. We had a great time. The hotel staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. The island is very peaceful and the view is amazing. We did scuba diving, snorkeling, horse riding and kayaking.
One of the best parts was the food! We had breakfast every morning at the hotel and it was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to all of my friends!
National Park was great. It is located just 20 minutes away from our hotel. There are a lot of trails that you can take to get to the top. You can see a beautiful view of the Amalfi Coast. It was a great day out with my husband.
We went on a bus tour that took us around the entire island. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the island and the history of the people who live there. We also did a boat tour of the island which was very fun.
We enjoyed the boat ride so much that we did it again the next day!
Hiking The Mount Vesuvius
When we went to visit Pompeii, we had the chance to see the famous Mount Vesuvius. The volcano erupted about 2,000 years ago.
It is situated in Italy, between Naples and Sorrento. On the day we visited, the weather was very good. We went on a hike to reach the crater of the volcano. It took us about an hour to walk there.
We passed through the greenish lava fields which are the result of the eruption. The volcano has been active for many thousands of years. At times it was covered with trees and shrubs.
The volcano destroyed the cities of Pompei and Herculaneum and buried them under a thick layer of lava. The volcano has become a symbol of the power of nature, which can destroy everything in its path.
The volcano is still active today and it’s not safe to go close to the edge. This is why we decided to hike up to the crater. The trip was a bit tricky, but we were lucky and found a good trail that leads us up to the crater. There are many ways to get to the top of the volcano.
