Alkaline water is generally described as water with a pH higher than 7.0. A pH level can range from zero to 14, with 7 being neutral. Anything under 7 is considered acidic and anything over 7 alkaline.

The antioxidant (ORP) potential tends to go first, in as little as 24 hours, whilst the pH tends to drop in around 1-2 weeks.
